Funk’s dispatches our professional team and state-of-the-art John Deere tractors—equipped with Pronovost Cyclone Inverted Snowblowers—after 1 inch or more of snow accumulation. You don’t need to call each time it snows; once you’re signed up, you’re added to our service route and will be taken care of automatically. For most snowfalls, we wait until the storm has ended before making a complete pass. In the case of heavy, multi-day storms, we may make a pass once per day until the snow ends, followed by a final clean-up pass. You can expect email updates during major storms.

Service begins after 1" or 2" snow trigger has reached your snowfall contract, which is measured in a 24-hour period. While we can’t promise specific times due to weather unpredictability, our team monitors storms closely and adjusts our response accordingly. Most storms are handled once snow has stopped falling. Larger or longer-lasting snow events are handled with staggered visits, and sidewalk crews begin their work after driveways are cleared.

Our residential snow removal contract runs from November 1st to April 15th (165 days).

No. Funk's Lawn Care Service will snow stake your account. We request that no client use metal snow markers, as they are more prone to break very expensive equipment that we use to make things efficient.

Yes, city sidewalk clearing is included with your driveway service. If you would like to sign up for sidewalk-only service, you can request a custom quote by filling out the form on our Request Winter Service page.

We use tractors with commercial-grade snowblowers—not traditional pickup plows. This allows us to blow snow evenly across the property, keeping snowbanks low and preventing yard or driveway damage.

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured. This reflects our commitment to professional, reliable, and legally compliant service. It also provides peace of mind for our clients and protects both parties in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Full payment is required to reserve your spot for the snow season. Space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require a payment plan, it must be agreed upon in writing before service begins.

Because we reinvest customer payments into equipment, staffing, and vendor contracts prior to the season, we are unable to offer refunds except in cases where Funk’s fails to deliver the services outlined in the agreement. If you experience a problem, please notify us in writing and allow up to 30 days for resolution.

Drifting snow that appears after our service visit is not included. However, we can return to clear drifted snow for an additional fee upon request.

For safety and equipment clearance, we stay approximately two feet away from garage doors, buildings, and any parked vehicles in the driveway.

Our base snow removal package includes clearing driveways and city sidewalks. The following services are not included unless purchased separately: - Ice melt or salt application - De-icing - Driveway scraping - Snow removal from decks or private walkways

We use the FM Weather Station to determine official snowfall measurements for service activation.
